Mangum Pottery of Turkey knob is situated on seventy acres of rolling pasture and forested hills in the beautiful mountains of Alleghany County. The most notable landmark is a short hike up Turkey Knob itself, with it's panoramic 360 degree view.
Since 1975 Robin and Bet Mangum created a national following producing pottery and ceramic art in a wide variety of function and form. In early 2009 Bet passed away. Robin is continuing their life's work with his two assistants. The studio is a popular destination for avid collectors wanting to visit a working studio in the beautiful North Carolina mountains. They are open for visitors year round. Their hours vary, so please call: (336) 372-5291. |
